Institute for Diversity in Health Management Launches Benchmarking Survey

The Institute for Diversity in Health Management recently launched the State of Health Care Diversity and Equity: A Benchmarking Study. The aim of the survey is to quantify the scope of diversity initiatives under way in our nation’s hospitals. The data populating the survey will be derived by AHA-member CEO responses. In addition to assessing internal diversity efforts and identifying areas for improvement, the Institute hopes the survey will act as a vehicle to help better recognize hospital leaders who embrace the tenants of diversity within healthcare.

First-year results of the survey will be available next year. For more information, visit www.diversityconnection.org or e-mail institute@aha.org. The Institute is an AHA affiliate.
